Rent Insider is the first platform that aims to create a community of people (tenants + landlords) and rental data (obtained from these people and not only) in order to create a quality standard in this market.
This system allows users to search for information about people's background as well as opinions about a person who is going to rent in their property, as well as about a property and/or a landlord if they are tenants. All for free.
You can either search for information on existing entities (property, tenant, landlord) or add more which in turn can be yours or from the properties you have been in or own.
You can also leave reviews on both existing and new properties and tenants which you can add as needed if the platform does not yet have information on the searched object yet.
As a tenant the platform gives you the opportunity to know what your future rent will be like and also gives you a tool with which to prove your credibility. The latter is also true as a landlord; but for them the benefit is the ability to know in advance who is going to live in the property, so they can have peace of mind about what the property will look like at the end of the tenancy.
Using the search bar:
1. Select type 'Property'
2. Enter identifying data by following the instructions in the search field (optional)
3. Choose the desired filters to narrow the range of results and increase the chance of success
4. Browse through the results until you see the one you want and select it from the list
Personal data (name, surname) are used strictly for searches and reviews.
Using the 'Write a review' button present on the property's detail page. If the property does not yet exist on the platform, you will need to add it yourself.
Using the 'Write a review' button present on the respective's renter detail page. If the renter does not yet exist on the platform, you will need to add it yourself.
The rating system is of two types. The first type of rating is the one left by a tenant to the property, and the second type of rating is given by the landlord to the tenant who lived on that property.
This creates two types of score:
Current rating - the current rating of the tenant / landlord / property
Total rating - the average of all reviews received by the tenant / landlord / property
The rating can be increased by improving the overall contribution of the rental process.
Comments or ratings that incite hatred or use vulgar language can be reported via the “Report” button.
Negative reviews received by the tenant / landlord / property will be visible
Yes, anyone can use the search function.
Yes. The data that Rent Insider provides is designed so that it does not reveal new data about the people on this platform, but at the same time it provides enough data for a tenant / landlord to make an opinion about the person they are looking for.
Yes. First click on the “Contribute” button on the main page, followed by the “Add a property” button. Once on this page, fill in the details of the property.
You can report an account for using fake photos using the “Report” button on the Renter / Landlord profile, as well as the property profile.
You can report an account using a false address using the “Report” button on the Renter / Landlord profile, as well as the property profile.
No. Each profile has a list of related properties.
Any review must be left by a registered account. After logging in you can leave a review on a rented property (only if you have the tenant role) by visiting its page and selecting the option to add a review.
This property can be an already existing one (in the platform) - found through the search bar, or one you've just added yourself.
You can see them on the respective property's page, on each historical version individually (you have to select the version and look at the details about it to see the reviews in detail), but also on the tenant's profile page where you can also see the reviews left by the owners.
If you are an owner: if the property you own already exists but was added with the original platform data, it will have to be claimed. Any property added later will have an owner (at least automatically generated) that will either have to be claimed by the person represented by that profile if it is generated; or it will be you, following the creation of a new property from your profile page.
Of course, you can also add properties that do not belong to you ('Contribute' form) but only if you are a tenant.
