How does it work?

Short RentInsider tutorial

How does it work?Rent Insider is aimed at all individuals and entities that have been, are, or will be involved in the process of renting housing/student dormitories; it is completely free and based on community contributions (we need people to get together and use it so that others can find it useful later on and use it = it's a community effort). The platform offers future tenants the chance to look for useful information about a potential rent as well as easing their process by being able to prove, with the help of the platform (if used correctly), that they have a good history and are reliable. As a landlord, you can see who is going to be your renter, so you can rest assured that it is not going to be an unpleasant experience, at the same time you are able to promote your properties (giving you another place where they are available on the internet, but unlike ad platforms, the real estate (s) is present here for free). Both parties can also share unpleasant experiences to help others avoid the same problem in the future. The entire system holds historical versions of all entities in such a way that evolution over time and the factors that caused changes can be traced. Further, we detail the process a little from the perspective of each party:
I'm a renter:I want to:
How do I search as a renter:Using the main search bar, we select the type of search according to what we want to find (landlord/property) and then from the menu that opens, we choose the filters that suit us. In the search box we can search by street name, neighbourhood or property description, and in the case of a landlord, by name, surname or contact methods (email, phone, link to social media profile).  If we fail to find any results or we have the impression that we did not find exactly what we were looking for, we can add the information that interests us ourselves (the owner/property) either to leave a review later on, or simply to contribute such that others can use what we have offered and help them.
How do I add my experience as a renter:First of all, to contribute information you need to sign up and log in. If you are a renter, you must create a renter account and vice versa for the landlord. If the property does not exist, after you have logged in (you can start the process without being logged in, but you will have to log in to send the information, although it is an automatic process after logging in so you do not have to worry about it) from the Contribute button in the search bar (or from the menu on your phone), you choose what you want to add: property/owner. To add a property, it is mandatory to choose an owner, if the latter does not exist, it must be added at that time from the same form. At the end of the process, if everything is fine, you will be redirected to the created entity page, and from there, you can add your review on the property. If the property exists and you found it through the search bar, the process is all about adding the review itself. Owners's scores are not computed directly, they are calculated based on the properties they have and their scores. ATTENTION! Adding a review for a property automatically determines your addition as a tenant to that property. Owners or renters added by 'Contribute', will have an 'unclaimed' status, the latter being only abstract accounts that can be claimed by the actual persons they represent.

EXTRA:Unclaimed properties: They are part of the injected data, originally gathered by the RentInsider team and are the only ones that do not have a physical owner behind them. These properties require manual intervention and the claim process is made based on a deed of ownership / a discussion with a team representative after pressing the 'Claim' button present on the respective property page. As a landlord you need to always have at least one submited property.
